Note: Women candidates are not eligible to apply for the post of Si of Police (Armed) and Station Officer (Fire Service) PWD candidates are not eligible to apply for the above 3 types of posts.
SCALE OF PAY: The appointment will be initially on contractual basis carrying a monthly remuneration of Rs.16,880) for 1st year and shall be revised in subsequent years as per Odisha Group-8 Posts (Contractual Appointment) Rules, 2013 and amended by Govemment of Odisha from time to time.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: Appointment shall be guided by the Combined Competitive Recruitment Examination for Group-B Posts of Orissa Police Service, Orissa Fire Service Orders, 2008 & the Odisha Group -B (Contractual Appointment) Rules, 2013 and amended up to date.
ELIGIBILITY: (i) Age: Must not be below 21 years and above 25 years of age as on 01.01.2018,, (ii) The upper age limit: years in case of ST, SC, SEBC & Women candidates and period service rondered in armed Forces in case of Ex-Servicemen. In-Service Contractual Employees who have rendered at least one year of continuous service prior to commencement the Odisha Group-B posts (contractual Appointment) Rules, 2013 and aro below 45 years of age as on 01.01.2018 are aligitle to apply for tho post. (ii) Educational
Qualification: Must have passed a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised University. The. candidates applying for the post of Station Officer (Fire Service) must have passed Science or Engineering Graduate. The candidates who have not taken Odia as a subject in H.S.C standard must possess requisite certificate of passing ME standard in Odia as a language subject.
PLAN OF EXAMINATION: The recruitment process consists of 1. Preliminary Examination 2. Main Writen
Examination 3. Physical Measurement & Physical Test, 4.assessment of weightage marks for NCC Certificate,
Winning Medal in National/intermaticnal Sports events as per the uploaded documents at the time of applying
for the post & 5. viva-voce cum Psychological Test.
EXAMINATION FEE: The candidates other than SC & ST category shall have to pay examination fee of

(i) Date of ACTIVATION of the Online Application for the post will be notified in the detailed advertisement to be published shortly. Candidates are advised to be in constant touch with the above website to apply for the post.
(ii) Candidates are required to apply through Online Mode only after publication of Detail Advertisement in OSSC website.
(iii) No physical copy of the DAF (detailed Application Form) is required to be sent to the Commission. The candidates are required to submit the DAF along with self attested copies of the required documents/certificate at the time of certificate verification.
(iv) The candidates applying for the post must go through the Detail Advertisement and ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria prescribed for the post as laid down therein. Admission of a candidate for the written examination & other Tests shall be provisional and would be on the basis of the information furnished by him/her in the Online Application form only.
(v) If at any stage of recruitment or thereafter, it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in his/her online application is false/incorrect or the candidate has suppressed any relevant information or the candidate: otherwise does not satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post, his/her candidature for the Post/Examination will be cancelled forthwith and he may be debarred either temporarily or permanently from appearing any further recruitment examination (s) conducted by Odisha Staff Selection Commission.
