Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) invites online application from the prospective candidates for Assistant Conservator of Forests (Group-A)(JB) and Forest Ranger, Group-B of Forest Service under Forest & Environment Department. - Assistant Conservator of Forests: 25 Posts( 7-w)
- Forest Ranger: 42 Posts (13-w)
Age Limit: candidate must have attained the age of 21 (Twenty one) years and must not be above the age of 32 (Thirty two) years as on the 1st day of January, 201 i.e. he/she must have been born not earfier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January, 1998. The upper age limit prescribed above shall be relaxable by 5(five) years for candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes (S.C), Scheduled Tribes (S.T). Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (S.E B.C), Women and Ex-servicemen. Provided that, a candidate who comes under more than one category mentioned above, he/she will be eligible for only one age relaxation benefit, which shall be considered most beneficial to him/her. SAVE AS PROVIDED ABOVE THE AGE LIMITS PRESCRIBED CAN IN NO CASE BE
RELAXED. Date of birth entered in the High School Certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council will only be accepted by the Commission.
Educational Qualification: A candidate must have possessed Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution in India with at least one of the following subjects namely, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and Zoology or a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Examination Fee: A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs.500/-(Rupees five
hundred) only. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe of Odisha only are exempted from payment of this fee.

Candidates must apply online through the Website of www.opsconline.gov.in Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily be rejected.
Candidates who will called for the Viva Voice test will be required to bring with them the hard copy of online application form along with copies of certificates, mark sheets etc. and original of the same for verification prior to the date of Viva Voice test which will be notified later on in due course, failing which he/she shall not be allowed to appear at the Viva Voice test.
The candidates are required 10 visit the Website of the Commission at OR www.opsc.gov.in for detailed information about the programme of the examination, notice regarding rejection of applications; other important notices etc. and also keep track of publication of various notice to the effect in the leading local daily newspapers for information.
